When possible, you need to remove your silver jewelry when working with chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, or abrasive materials.

Cleaning Your Silver

Tarnish build-up naturally occurs over time when exposed to the elements.  Our Dallas jewelers recommend using special formulated polishes which will remove any tarnish build up.  Silver polishes, solutions, or cloths are available at most hardware stores or specialty craft stores. Tarnish is most easily removed when it first becomes visible.
A word of caution in regards to cleaning silver coins. Check with our Dallas coin specialists for treatment of older silver coins that have tarnish or stains. Certain cleaning materials can damage finite details on older coins causing a decrease in value if the wrong cleaner is used.
